Are You Saving Smartly or Stealing from the Government?

Tax Savings In the corporate world, every rupee matters. Organizations are always on the lookout for strategies to minimize costs, maximize profits, and handle finance effectively. It is in this context that taxes play a significant role. There exists a fine line between legitimate savings and illegitimate activities. To comprehend tax planning versus tax evasion is imperative for every organization that wishes to succeed without risking its reputation. Tax Savings Corporate Tax Planning – DefinitionCorporate tax planning involves handling the financial matters of a company in such a way that tax payable is reduced without violating any tax laws. This simply means that businesses will utilize the available legal deductions, exemptions, incentives, etc. to minimize tax payable. For instance, a company involved in research and development work may be entitled to some tax benefits depending on the local tax regulations. Moreover, businesses will organize themselves effectively and record their financial transactions so that they incur lower tax.Tax planning is straightforward in that you only have to pay whatever tax that the law requires you to pay and nothing extra.Effective tax planning will enable the company to manage its cash flow, expand, and make sound financial decisions. Tax Savings What Is Tax Evasion?Tax evasion is totally a different concept. In tax evasion, people or companies engage in unlawful activities to evade paying taxes that are supposed to be paid. For example, if a company deliberately conceals some part of its income and prepares false invoices, then this company will be guilty of tax evasion.Though this kind of activity seems to be profitable at first glance, in the long run there are serious repercussions for such actions. The company can be faced with financial penalties, interest payments, and other actions against it. Individuals who are behind the scheme can also be prosecuted in extreme cases, depending upon the prevailing laws.In the current business environment, where financial dealings are constantly watched, it can cause far bigger problems than tax liability itself. Tax Savings Tax Planning vs. Tax Evasion: Delineation of the ConceptIt is all about legality and transparency.Tax planning utilizes the advantages and allowances offered by law, while tax evasion consists of violation of the tax laws. A business making use of an allowed deduction with documentation is doing right. A business fabricating expenses in order to receive an undeserved deduction is doing wrong. It is particularly crucial for multinationals since they operate in many countries having different tax codes. They should be aware of local tax policies, obligations, and international tax rules so as not to fall into illegal financial decisions.Every aggressive financial decision that seems artificial and non-commercial will not necessarily mean tax evasion, but it can be seen as suspicious and attract attention.Tax Savings. Tax Savings Why Corporate Compliance and Business Ethics Are ImportantCorporate compliance is not only about the need to stay on the safe side. It is about creating a reliable company. Stakeholders—investors, staff, clients, and government agencies—want the company to keep proper records and comply with the relevant laws.A good internal control system, auditing, expert advice on taxation, and reporting can allow a company to foresee any possible risks that may pose danger to the business. The importance of business ethics is enormous. In case there is no problem with the legitimacy of a certain tax structure, companies still have to think about whether it is appropriate from the business standpoint. Tax Savings. Tax Savings A More Intelligent ApproachAt the end of the day, companies don’t have to sacrifice one or the other since effective business tax planning and responsibility are completely compatible. Tax Savings.Tax planning enables firms to take advantage of opportunities, while tax evasion puts companies into unnecessary trouble. The objective should never be complete avoidance of taxes at all costs, but intelligent and transparent tax management. On a larger scale, the success of a firm will be judged not only on how well it has saved money but also on how well it has earned and managed its income. This is because responsible firms realize that their reputations mean almost as much as their bottom lines. Crossing the Lines: The Practice of Global

Global Practices Corporate Taxation for MultinationalsIn the interconnected world that we live in, there are virtually no restrictions remaining on where companies can undertake their operations. A company can work in the United States, manufacture its products in India and finally sell these products in Europe. Even though these operations hold immense promise for growth, one more challenge accompanies these operations in the form of taxes across countries. Knowing About Global Tax Planning for CorporationsGlobal tax planning for corporations can be defined as organising all financial dealings according to the tax laws of all those countries where multinational corporations do their business operations. Because each country has different tax rates, policies and procedures, global tax planning for multinationals becomes a complex process.Good tax planning for multinational corporations (MNCs) is not just an activity that keeps the costs down. Good tax planning involves making smart financial decisions and avoiding any unnecessary risks. Global Practices Why is it important?Think about a business operating in five different countries, with each country having laws regulating corporate income tax, foreign investments, and deductions on profit. An economically reasonable decision in one country can lead to implicit tax liabilities in another country. Here comes the importance of international business tax planning in multinational financing. International tax planning enables the firm to control their finance, plan their resource allocation, and make reasonable decisions regarding investment. For instance, when a business decides to build its plant in a foreign country, it is necessary not only to analyse the labour cost along with the market demands but also to assess the tax benefits as well as withholding tax. Global Practices Challenges with Cross-Border TaxationFirstly, there is the problem of multinationals dealing with different types of tax regimes. The company needs to be aware of its home country’s tax laws; at the same time, it must make sure that it has a consistent approach to finance. Global PracticesSecondly, the problem of transfer pricing exists. Transfer pricing is a procedure of establishing prices of goods and services supplied or purchased between related parties of multinational enterprises. These prices need to comply with various laws, including the arm’s length rule, which requires transactions between related businesses to look like independent transactions. Global PracticesThird, there is an issue of double taxation. It refers to taxation of the same income twice or more. Nevertheless, double taxation can be prevented through tax treaties and foreign tax credits. Finally, the issue with tax law is that it becomes increasingly complicated because of actions taken by the OECD, including the establishment of a minimum tax system for multinational groups. Global practices play an important role in connecting businesses, cultures, and communities across countries. They help organizations understand international markets, adapt to different cultural values, and build strong relationships with global partners. By embracing global practices, businesses can improve communication, encourage innovation, and explore new opportunities for growth. However, working across borders also requires an understanding of cultural differences, international regulations, and local business traditions. Adopting effective global practices allows organizations to overcome these challenges, strengthen collaboration, and succeed in an increasingly interconnected world. Global Practices Technology and the Future of Multinational FinanceThe advancement of technology affects multinational corporate tax. Through use of tax software, tax analysis, and artificial intelligence technologies, the firm can remain on top of their transactions, spot errors, and create reports.Technology use will mean that less time will be required to do mundane chores and more time will be available for strategic considerations. Nevertheless, technology cannot do everything itself because companies will still require qualified tax experts who will know how to assess the implications of the innovations in the regulatory context. Global Practices. ConclusionThe process of international corporate tax planning is much more complex than accounting procedure. It is rather an important component of running successful international business. Being involved in international market operations, firms should merge profit-making with transparency and legality.Eventually, the most successful multinationals will not be the corporations that try to minimise taxes, but those that realise the complexity of the cross-border taxation problem and are prepared to plan ahead. Proper tax planning will eventually become the key to success. How Corporate Tax Planning Can Boost Your Bottom Line

Corporate Tax Planning For a business to succeed, it is not only about making sure there is an increase in sales for the business. Cost management and management of income from a business are very important in ensuring that a business succeeds. There will always be costs in terms of taxes in any business, but poor planning means that there will be wastage of allowable deductions and more cash outflow.             Image Source : Unsplash 1. Corporate Tax Planning Make Better Use of Eligible Tax Deductions The organisation pays for the salaries of its employees, rental payments for its offices, software costs, marketing activities, professional services, and many more. Some of these costs could be tax-deductible in determining the organisation’s taxable income. It is essential for the organisation to have the correct invoices and expense reports to ensure that it receives its entitlements from the tax department. For instance, an organisation with well-documented records of the subscriptions it uses and the professional costs incurred will easily be able to determine the deduction allowances. 2. Corporate Tax Planning Plan Business Investments Around Tax Benefits A firm’s tax situation is influenced by purchasing equipment, upgrading technology, or increasing operations. There are assets that can be subject to depreciation. This means that there can be a periodic deduction from the total cost of the asset. It is important for firms to take into account this kind of consideration before engaging in any major investment. For example, when a manufacturing firm decides to acquire some equipment, it needs to take into account the costs of the acquisition and production increases. This must be a commercially sound decision, but if there is also a tax advantage, then that will be an added advantage. 3. Corporate Tax Planning Improve Cash Flow Through Better Tax Forecasting Even an organisation that makes huge profits will find it difficult to make timely payments if money is locked up somewhere else. It would be helpful to the organisation to estimate its tax obligations during the year rather than trying to put things in order when time comes to pay. The finance department can look at the revenue per month, costs incurred and estimated profit in order to estimate the amount of tax that might be owed. This will help the organisation to plan how to make payments to suppliers and employees, among other costs incurred. 4. Corporate Tax Planning Choose a Business Structure That Fits Your Goals There are different tax considerations for a particular legal form of business operations. For instance, there is no single set of tax rules for the private limited company, partnership, LLP or any other business. The right choice will depend on many things, including the size of the business, ownership structure, funding and other considerations. If there is a growing business planning to involve outside investors, then a private limited company could be appropriate. If there is a small professional business, then an LLP could be an alternative. It would be wise to get advice from a professional before deciding on the most appropriate form of business organisation. 5. Corporate Tax Planning Use Available Corporate Tax Benefits Strategically Based on the type of business being undertaken, it may be possible to receive some form of tax incentives and/or deductions in accordance with the laws. In some cases, some business entities may be able to benefit from some special incentives that are provided based on eligible activities, investments or start-up schemes recognised by the government. It is important to understand that all these forms of incentives are normally subject to conditions and documentation. It is important to establish the eligibility of the company in order to be able to make necessary financial decisions with respect to the said incentives. Conclusion Tax planning in a corporate environment can contribute to profitability in a number of ways through assisting a business in managing costs, making provisions for taxes and making investment decisions. It is not the reduction in tax that makes it important but rather the understanding of the impact of tax on the overall financial situation of a business organisation. When tax planning becomes part of regular business decisions, companies can manage their resources more carefully and keep their bottom line on a stronger footing. Top 10 Corporate Tax Planning Strategies for Startups

Startup Tax Planning Entrepreneurship entails costs, including taxation. Startup tax planning helps new businesses manage costs, avoid penalties, and use resources efficiently. It is important to note that tax planning by a startup does not involve tax avoidance but rather a clear understanding of the process involved.            Image Source : Agemy Financial Strategies 1. Startup Tax Planning Choose the Right Business Structure Whether a new business is created as a sole proprietorship, partnership, LLP, or limited company affects how it is taxed. Every legal form has its own taxation, compliance, and expense requirements. Thus, entrepreneurs should consider their goals, funding sources, and expected income to choose the appropriate form. 2. Startup Tax Planning Check Eligibility for Startup Tax Benefits Eligible startups can avail themselves of some special tax benefits under the schemes of the Government. For instance, those startups which have been classified as such under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) might be eligible for claiming deductions under Section 80-IAC, depending on the conditions and other related aspects. The founders need to consider the current requirements rather than assuming that all registered startups get tax benefits by default. 3. Startup Tax Planning Keep Track of Business Expenditures In order to be eligible for tax breaks, it is necessary to keep track of the expenditures associated with running the business. Thus, expenditures on office rental, software, internet, marketing, salaries of employees, etc., must be carefully accounted for. Keeping invoices, bills, and records of payments will help in identifying the expenditures eligible for tax deduction. 4. Startup Tax Planning Claim Eligible Business Deductions Deductions which could be claimed as legal deductions while computing tax payable should be calculated by businesses. This could involve deductions such as costs of employees who meet the criteria for deductions, rent payments, professional service charges, monthly subscriptions to software services and marketing expenses. However, this depends on the kind of expenditure and tax rules. 5. Startup Tax Planning Plan the Timing of Major Purchases There might be occasions when your startup needs to purchase certain machines or equipment for your business activities. Careful planning of such purchases will enable you to know the effect of the purchase on the taxes to be paid and how the purchase affects your financial planning and budgeting. There are certain assets which are subject to depreciation and not deduction. 6. Startup Tax Planning Manage Founder Salaries and Payments Carefully Founders must consider how they are going to get paid in terms of salary, remuneration or any other form of payment that is allowed. Different structures have varied tax and compliance obligations when it comes to founder payments. Proper documentation and reasonable payments by the founders and associated parties help in avoiding problems during tax calculations. 7.Startup Tax Planning Learn about GST Registration and Input Tax Credit New business enterprises that provide goods and services must know when it is compulsory to register for GST and if there are any exceptions for their business. In addition, eligible registered businesses are entitled to take advantage of the input tax credit on purchases made for their business use according to GST rules. 8. Keep Business and Personal Finances Separate Using different bank accounts and payment methods for transactions will simplify the process of accounting for income, expenditure, and investments. The merging of personal and business expenditure makes it difficult to recognise allowable expense items as well as record-keeping. Separate bank accounts make the accounting process simpler and more efficient for accurate preparation of financial reports. 9. Tax Deadlines Monitoring and Advance Tax Requirement Failure to make payments and meet the deadlines may attract penalties. Entrepreneurs are supposed to use an income tax return schedule as well as a GST return schedule in order to determine whether any advance tax is due. 10. Review Tax Planning Throughout the Year The timing of tax planning shouldn’t be limited to the end of the financial year. Founders need to analyse their income, expenditure, profit, capital and investment plans every now and then. Quarterly assessment may enable the founders to assess their tax liabilities at an early stage and incorporate this into their financial plans. Consulting with a tax specialist upon changes in the business situation may also assist them in taking decisions in compliance with the applicable tax laws. Conclusion Tax planning is one of the critical components in the proper management of a startup. Proper selection of a corporate structure, keeping proper documentation, deducting eligible expenses, and filing taxes are some of the ways to make sure that founders have their finances in order. In addition, regular tax planning for startups would go a long way in helping them cut down unnecessary costs and grow. The Ultimate Guide to Corporate Tax Planning in 2026

Corporate Tax Planning in 2026 Tax planning for corporations is not just about paying less tax. Rather, it is about properly planning income, expenses, investments, and cash flows to keep tax liabilities under control. 2026 will be a significant year for corporate tax planning in India because the Corporate Tax Act, 2025, has superseded the 1961 Act since April 1, 2026. This has been done with the intention to make the tax system simpler and less difficult to comply with. Corporate Tax Planning 2026 must be a part of the normal financial planning process, not a last-minute one.              Image Source : Unsplash 1. Corporate Tax Planning in 2026 Review which tax regime works for your company Among the first issues that a company needs to examine is the tax system it operates under. The concessional system in Section 115BAA allows for an income tax rate of 22% if the requirements are satisfied. Other domestic companies may operate under other tax systems. However, the decision to opt for a system with lower tax rates is not always the best choice. The company needs to compare the tax rate with the deductions and benefits that the company will have to give up. The comparisons need to be made on the basis of figures. Corporate Tax Planning in 2026. 2. Corporate Tax Planning in 2026 Plan major business expenses before the year ends There is timing when it comes to tax planning. Businesses should monitor costs like salaries, legal fees, lease payments, IT investments, among others that are genuine business costs, and ensure that they are documented. It is not about spending to pay less in taxes. This rarely makes financial sense. Rather, if the business must undertake an expenditure for reasons that are genuine, it can plan well for the same. Corporate Tax Planning in 2026. 3. Corporate Tax Planning in 2026 Look at investments and incentives before making decisions Tax planning also needs to be done when deciding on the locations to make investments. If a company wants to invest in new equipment or technology, it would do well to consider whether it qualifies for any tax breaks before putting its plans into effect. Corporate Tax Planning in 2026. In this context, it is very useful for companies that operate in sectors that the government is trying to promote through investment and expansion. The 2026 Finance Act includes provisions for promoting the IT industry and global businesses. What is most critical is to determine eligibility before investment rather than try to qualify for a benefit after investment. 4. Corporate Tax Planning in 2026 Keep tax planning connected with cash flow It is possible for a firm to be profitable but at the same time experience cash flow difficulties during the time of tax payment. For that reason, there must be tax estimates which are part of the overall financial planning of the firm. The businesses will have the option to make tax estimates throughout the year instead of doing them towards the end of the year. The tax planning can even assist management to determine whether it is an appropriate period for making an investment, keeping the profit, or having more cash flow for business operations. Therefore, there must be coordination between the two. Corporate Tax Planning in 2026 5. Make compliance part of the tax strategy Tax savings will be meaningless if they lead to unnecessary compliance issues in the future. The organization must keep proper invoices, contracts, payroll books, financial statements, and other records for claims and deductions. Furthermore, an assessment should be made about the changing tax legislation prior to preparing tax returns and making financial decisions. This will be particularly relevant for 2026 since the organization is entering the era of the new Income-tax Act, 2025. The government has termed this Act a simpler version of tax legislation, and it has replaced the old Income-tax Act as of April 1, 2026, although some transitional provisions will apply in some existing proceedings under the repealed Act. A good compliance process minimizes errors and penalties. A practical way to approach tax planning Businesses do not need to adopt an elaborate strategy to begin with. Some basic points to include are: It is always helpful to review these factors at multiple points in time over the course of the year. This is due to the possibility that business conditions may change, and so should the tax plan. Conclusion Corporate tax planning 2026 involves more intelligent financial management as compared to merely searching for any tax breaks. It involves knowing the tax system, planning actual business expenditures, evaluating investments, managing cash flows, and maintaining compliance. As India has recently adopted the new income-tax system, companies have a legitimate reason to evaluate their current system of doing things. An integrated corporate tax and corporate finance strategy would help companies manage their tax costs while pursuing their overall business objectives. IT Compliance Standards and why they are Actually Important

IT Compliance Standards When I first heard the term IT Compliance, I thought it was something only big companies or auditors worry about. It sounded very technical and honestly boring. But while working around IT systems and reading more about it, I realised that IT compliance standards affect almost everything we do online, even if we don’t notice it directly. Any organisation that uses IT systems has to follow certain rules. These rules exist to make sure data is handled safely and systems are not misused. That is basically what IT compliance is about. IT Compliance Standards: What IT Compliance IT Compliance means making sure that IT systems follow legal rules with industry regulations, and internal company policies. From what I’ve observed these rules basically decide how the data should be stored, who can access it, and how the systems should be protected. IT Compliance Standards For example: Assuming  if a company does collect the customer data, it cannot just store it anywhere or allow everyone to access it. IT compliance ensures that only authorised people have access and that data is not exposed unnecessarily. To manage this properly, organisations usually follow standards frameworks. These frameworks act like a guide instead of starting from zero. IT Compliance Standards: How Standards Frameworks Help Standards frameworks are basically structured guidelines that help companies maintain IT compliance. They tell organisations what good practices look like and what areas need attention. IT Compliance Standards Instead of guessing how to secure systems or manage access, companies use standards frameworks that are already recognised. Some focus more on security, while others focus on privacy or internal controls. Using these frameworks makes IT compliance more organised. It also helps when audits happen, because there is already a clear structure in place. IT Compliance Standards: Why IT Compliance Cannot be Ignored Most IT systems handle sensitive information. This could be employee records, financial data, or user information. If this data is leaked or misused, it can cause serious damage to a company’s reputation. IT compliance helps reduce these risks. It also protects organisations from legal trouble. Many laws today are very strict about how data is handled, especially personal data. IT Compliance Standards Following IT compliance standards helps organisations • Protect user and business data • Avoid penalties and legal issues • Maintain trust with customers • Keep IT operations more controlled Ignoring compliance might have saved some effort in the short term, but it usually creates the bigger problems later. IT Compliance in Day-to-Day Work IT compliance is not just about policies on paper. It shows up in daily IT activities. This basically includes things like setting strong passwords with a limiting system access, keeping software updated, and maintaining logs. Documentation is also very important. Even if systems are secure, poor documentation can make an organisation look non-compliant during audits. Employees also play a role here. Simple actions usually like sharing login credentials or using unsecured devices can create compliance issues without realising it. Usual Challenges Faced by Organisations One of the biggest challenges with IT compliance is that rules keep changing. As technology evolves, regulations are updated as well. Other common challenges include • Understanding complex standards frameworks • Managing compliance across multiple IT systems • Training employees regularly • Limited resources, especially in small organisations Despite these major challenges, most organisations now do realise that compliance is not optional anymore. What the Future Looks Like IT compliance is slowly becoming more automated. Many companies are using tools that track compliance continuously instead of waiting for audits. Standards frameworks are also adapting to cloud systems and remote work. In the future, IT compliance may or will focus more on preventing issues rather than fixing them later. Conclusion IT compliance standards may sound technical, but they play a very practical role in modern IT systems. They help organisations manage data responsibly and reduce risks. By following proper standards frameworks, companies can make their IT systems more secure and reliable. As digital systems continue to grow, IT compliance will only become more important in everyday IT work. References [1] IBM, “What is IT compliance?,” IBM, 2023. Blockchain in Supply Chain: Bringing Clarity to a Messy Journey

Blockchain in Supply Chain Supply chains are basically long stories about how things move—from a farm or factory all the way to someone’s home. The problem is that the story is usually split across emails, spreadsheets, portals, and phone calls, and no one ever sees the full picture. When a shipment goes missing, a product turns out to be faulty, or a fake item slips in, everyone scrambles just to answer: “Where did this go wrong?” Blockchain tries to fix exactly that by giving all players one shared, trustworthy version of the story. Blockchain in Supply Chain: What Blockchain Really Feels Like in Practice Imagine a communal ledger where every key participant in the supply chain can add their notes, but no one gets to erase or overwrite without transparency. Thus, every time an event takes place—packing of goods, loading on a truck, customs clearance, or delivery to a warehouse—it is recorded as a time-stamped entry in that log. Entries are so well protected from manipulation that people end up trusting this shared record more than going into disputes about whose spreadsheet is “right.” Blockchain in Supply Chain This is particularly useful when partners in a supply chain are not entirely familiar or even somewhat distrustful of each other, as is often the case with global supply chains. Whether they are running completely different internal IT systems, they can still work on a common blockchain network and synchronize on the core facts like quantities, dates, and ‍‌‍‍‌locations. It removes a lot of back‑and‑forth chasing of information and lets people spend more time solving problems than hunting for data. Blockchain in Supply Chain: Making Products Easier to Trust From a human point of view, one of the biggest wins is peace of mind. With blockchain, a product’s journey can be traced from origin to shelf in a matter of minutes. If there is a safety issue—say a contaminated food batch or a defective pharma lot—teams can quickly identify which units are affected and where they went, rather than guessing and overreacting. Blockchain in Supply Chain It also tackles the very real worry of counterfeits. Counterfeit products in such areas as drugs, luxury goods, and electronics can be harmful to both consumers and brands. Attaching an authentic digital record to each real product through a blockchain, thus, makes it very difficult for counterfeit products to go unrecognized. By means of very elementary devices such as QR codes or tags, even consumers are enabled to verify the authenticity of a product by consulting its history, which helps to establish trust in a very concrete manner. Blockchain in Supply Chain: Cutting Down on Waiting, Chasing, and Paperwork Anyone who has worked in operations, logistics, or finance knows how much time goes into waiting for approvals, checking documents, and asking for “the latest version.” Blockchain can ease a lot of this burden, especially when combined with smart contracts—self‑executing rules built into the system. For example, once a delivery is confirmed and the required data is on the ledger, a payment can trigger automatically. That means fewer disputes, fewer manual checks, and faster money flow for suppliers who often operate on tight margins. Because everyone sees nearly real‑time information about shipments and inventory, decisions become less guess‑based. Planners can better avoid stock‑outs, unnecessary safety stock, and sudden surprises in the network. For the people behind the screens and on the warehouse floor, that translates into fewer fire drills and more predictable days. Blockchain in Supply Chain: The Very Human Challenges Of course, blockchain does not magically fix everything. If people enter wrong or incomplete data, the system simply locks in those errors more securely—“garbage in, garbage forever” still applies. There are also sensitive questions: Who controls the network? What is visible to whom? How do you protect confidential pricing while still sharing enough data to make the system useful? Changing‍‌‍‍‌ is itself a significant obstacle. When it comes to bringing in Blockchain, it changes workflows, integrations, and methods of sharing information, and not all partners are equally prepared or enthusiastic. That is the reason why a lot of the successful initiatives go step by step, starting with a narrowly targeted use case and a small number of partners who are committed and convinced that it helps, and then gradually extending the ‍‌‍‍‌scope. Conclusion Basically,‍‌‍‍‌ blockchain in supply chains is not so much a high-tech thing but rather a way of making people use the same, truthful data. It enables all members of the chain—planners, warehouse teams, managers, and even customers—to have a transparent and accurate account of product origin and handling. If implemented wisely, it is capable of minimizing fraud and the presence of counterfeit products, accelerating payment processes, and lessening the frantic work of gathering information on a daily ‍‌‍‍‌basis. The real value shows up not in buzzwords, but in quieter days, fewer surprises, and greater confidence that the data on the screen actually reflects what is happening in the real world. 5 Common Resume Mistakes That Can Lead to Rejection

Common Resume Mistakes With that, let’s take a look at some of the errors that should be avoided by first-timers in compiling a resume.  A resume isn’t merely a record of your academic history and your work skills, it’s a manner to make a great initial impression on your employer. Fresher’s are in a new phase of the competitive job market; a well drafted CV can come to their rescue to give them an interview call. But there are many applicants that make inadvertent mistakes in their applications which diminish the impact of their applications.  But it’s NOT a “fancy” or “technical” resume that will create a great resume, it’s a great resume. However, it is not enough, it has to be clear, correct, formatted and be known to recruiters.   Let’s look at some of the common errors that Freshers often make on their resume that they should steer clear of to ensure that their resumes are noticed.  1. Common Resume Mistakes: Poor Resume Formatting  One of the most frequent errors is employing an disorganised format. If they are too large or too small, or there is too much colour, too many graphics or not all the spaces between the words are the same size, it’s difficult to read. Common Resume Mistakes The answer should be presented neatly in a professional and legible manner including headings, organisation and spacing. If you are a fresher with a lesser account of work experience, it’s best to stick to a one page CV.  2.Common Resume Mistakes: Personal information that is not related.  There is a tendency among many candidates to include answering personal questions such as marital status, religion, full residential address, parent names etc. Typically, this type of information isn’t required unless the employer specifically requests it. Common Resume Mistakes Rather, candidates are expected to highlight crucial information such as their name, business email address, contact number, and LinkedIn profile.  3. Common Resume Mistakes: An Unprofessional Email Address is used.  Email is a vital tool for candidate/recruiter communication. Informal usernames, nicknames or expressions that are unsuitable may have an informal look.  Common Resume Mistakes It is important that they use a professional email address (based on their name or initials) to come across as professional, and not using their personal email address for the recruitment process.  Write a general Career Objective  Career objectives are unhelpful if they are very general, e.g., “To find a challenging role in an esteemed organisation”.  Rather the candidate should state a goal that is clear, specific and not a job goal, but rather a skill(s) that is relevant to the goal.  For example:  A B.A computer science graduate looking to get into finance, accounting, business activities and wants to seek out an opportunity that will enable him/her to utilize his/her computer skills and knowledge. Common Resume Mistakes Exaggeration of abilities/expertise  Some candidates mention abilities that they lack and are not good at – that will be noticed on their CV. In an interview, or a performance review, it can be a difficult thing to over-explain skills.  Fresher always has the opportunity to emphasize on Communication, computer applications, accounting, team work and problem solving. Shows what can be done and does it: builds trust and confidence;  4. Incorrect or improper use of grammatical and spelling mistakes. Has rushed assignments or done incorrect grammar and spelling on assignments.  A resume can be adversely affected with typos and grammatical mistakes. Where there are a number of small errors and it could indicate a lack of attention to detail.  Candidates are advised to carefully read through their resume before applying for jobs as it may have grammatical errors, wrong dates or formatting. Common errors will also be spotted by grammar checking software.  5. Common Resume Mistakes: Adding Irrelevant Information  Don’t unnecessarily embellish a resume. This can catch the attention of recruiters away from key skills, unrelated hobbies and too much information about yourself can be a distraction.  The candidates should be familiar with the job description and they should also mention about their internships and projects, their academic performance, their transferable skills and certifications if any which are related to the job.  Common Resume Mistakes Not emphasizing academic accomplishments and efforts  Freshers are more concerned about the bad experience at work and don’t consider their academic work and achievements.  Examples of demonstrating practical knowledge and workplace skills include college projects, internships, presentations, on-line certifications and out-of-class activities.  For example, a B.The topics for the projects may be financial accounting, taxation, financial analysis (C-88 students) or business management. These will give recruiters some insight into a candidate’s potential, beyond his grades.  6. Common Resume Mistakes: Not tailoring your cover letter to the specific job and company  The other key error people are prone to make when applying for a job is to use the same CV for every application. There is no universally agreed “standard of requirements” or “standard of capabilities” that is required for all jobs. Common Resume Mistakes For instance, knowledge of financial statements, tax, and working with Excel might be more important for an accounting career than a career as a management trainee, and the ability to communicate, coordinate and lead might be more important in a career as a management trainee.  If the candidate customizes his CV to the job, it’s a wonderful method to make himself appear great for the job.  7.Common Resume Mistakes: Ignoring ATS-Friendly Formatting  There are some organizations that have an Application Tracking System (ATS) to keep track of and filter job applications. In some systems, the use of more complex templates and graphics, or uncommon fonts may cause problems.  Common Resume Mistakes Conclusion  A fresher entering the job market will find it very beneficial to make a well drafted resume, as it will offer them several opportunities in today’s job market. There are ways to make a difference if you are unclear on your career goals, don’t use the correct grammar, don’t respond to the question asked, or don’t use proper formatting.  There is no need

Understanding Input Tax Credit (ITC) in GST: A Simple Guide for Businesses

Input Tax Credit in GST: How Input Tax Credit Can Affect Business Cost Under GST  The Goods and Services Tax (GST) has revolutionized the tax and cost management approach of businesses in India. Input Tax Credit (ITC) is one of the most crucial aspects of GST. ITC provides an opportunity for eligible business entities to avail credit facility to reduce the rate of payment on sales, wherein they have to pay GST on purchases. Therefore, input tax credit is now playing a significant role in the cost planning of businesses under the GST regime. Input Tax Credit in GST  Input Tax Credit in GST: What is Input Tax Credit?  Input Tax Credit is the credit that will be allowed to a registered business to the extent of any taxes paid on the input, services, and purchases that have been used for the business. For instance, a business that purchases goods for ₹18,000 but collects ₹30,000 from customers for these purchases may be able to avail the ₹18,000 input tax credit (ITC) against the output tax liability (GST). The use of ITC is governed by the provisions of the GST Act and eligibility conditions as specified. So, the net GST to be paid would be ₹12,000. Input Tax Credit in GST Input Tax Credit in GST: How ITC will impact on GST Cost  ITC can decrease the tax burden which is ultimately a cost to the business. Effective cost of inputs may rise due to absence of ITC.In absence of ITC, the cost of inputs will be affected. The tax on inputs can, in general, be adjusted against the tax liability on output using eligible ITC.  Input Tax Credit in GST For example:  Particulars| Amount  GST paid on purchases| ₹18000  Total revenue received from sale of goods| ₹30,000  Less: Eligible ITC| ₹18,000  Net GST payable| ₹12,000  This can prevent the chain reaction of taxes and can increase the efficiency of business operations.  ITC is defined within the framework of GST Planning.ITC is part of GST Planning.  As a significant part of GST planning for businesses, companies need to ensure that they have the proper/informed invoices, records and adherence to the rules and regulations so that they can avail eligible credits. In addition, companies must also make sure that any purchases are made for a business purpose that is allowed, and other conditions are met.  Good management of ITC can assist businesses in making planning decisions for cash flows, managing their GST cost, and making informed purchasing decisions. Loss of time or mistake in claiming the eligible ITC can impact working capital and may also result in higher requirements for working cash.  Conclusion  Input Tax Credit is a significant factor in the effective cost of a business with regard to the GST. ITC can minimize cascading effect of taxes and help in better cash flow management as it allows eligible input taxes to be adjusted against output tax liability. Thus, it’s crucial to ensure that good Governance of Input Tax Credit (ITC) is a critical component of the business’s GST planning and compliance approach.  REFERENCES-  [1] Source: Taxmann https://share.google/pUQKAugyeHRsmzIfD  [2] Source: GST Council https://share.google/O3v6WesZSma44qN2m  [3] GST Input Credit: Meaning, Definition, Benefits & FAQs https://share.google/pk9whAD0eDTN62OkI  [4] Benefits of Input Tax Credit (ITC)- Insights from Udaipur CA https://share.google/NrsyIyLEDHdZ79YqK  [5] Internal link: Add Post ‹ Eve Consultancy — WordPress Screenshot   [1] Proofreading[Grammarly/Quillbot]  [2] Pligiarism report [Duplichecker]   [3] AI DETECTION (zerogpt )
